Users of the popular cloud backup service Google Drive suffered issues today when a rare problem at gGoogle prevented users from using the service. Other users of services including Hangouts and Calendar also reported the service was inaccessible.
Googles parent company Alphabet assure users that the problems have now been resolved. In a statement they said;
“The problem with Google Drive should be resolved. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support. Please rest assured that system reliability is a top priority at Google, and we are making continuous improvements to make our systems better.”
The last known issues with Google Drive was back in January of 2017 when the service went offline for an unknown reason, Google decided not to publish the reasons as to why the service was offline. The outage affected millions of users. In 2015 four outages were recorded with the service.
